Maric Munn | San Timoteo Energy Associates Maric Munn is a nationally recognized leader in energy efficiency, decarbonization, and facilities operations with more than 35 years of experience advancing sustainability across higher education, government, and the built environment. As the leader of San Timoteo Energy Associates' decarbonization services, she specializes in helping organizations reduce carbon emissions, with a particular focus on large campus district energy plants. Maric also founded the Green Building Practicum, a training and mentorship program that prepares Climate Fellows to accelerate decarbonization efforts across the industry. Before joining San Timoteo Energy Associates, she served as Executive Director of Facilities Services at the University of California, San Francisco, where she led a 400-person facilities and utilities organization with an $80 million annual operating budget. She co-chaired the campus Sustainability Steering Committee, co-authored UCSF's Climate Action Plan, and led numerous energy efficiency and central utility initiatives. Throughout her career, Maric has also held leadership roles with the University of California Office of the President, Pacific Gas & Electric, the California Department of General Services, and the Presidio Trust. She is a registered Professional Engineer in California, a Certified Energy Manager, a LEED Accredited Professional, and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering. |

Trevor Schatz | Terracon Trevor is a sustainability and high-performance building consultant with more than 15 years of experience helping clients create healthier, more efficient, and resilient built environments. His expertise spans the intersection of human health, building performance, and sustainability, enabling organizations to deliver projects that meet both operational goals and long-term environmental objectives. Trevor has led the planning and implementation of sustainable design strategies for a diverse portfolio of projects, including large-scale aviation facilities, acute healthcare centers, and critical infrastructure developments. His collaborative approach combines technical expertise with a practical understanding of project delivery, allowing teams to integrate innovative, high-performance solutions that enhance building functionality, improve occupant well-being, and increase long-term resilience. Aaron Wintersmith | Capital Engineering Aaron specializes in whole-building energy analysis and building performance optimization, helping clients achieve greenhouse gas reductions, lower energy costs, and decarbonization goals. Using both ASHRAE 90.1 and California Title 24 methodologies, he develops energy models that identify and optimize strategies for high-performance building design while supporting certifications and recognition programs such as Zero Net Energy (ZNE), CHPS, LEED, and Savings By Design. Aaron is highly knowledgeable in California's Title 24 Part 6 energy code and has extensive experience guiding projects through compliance and certification processes. In addition to his energy modeling expertise, he has served as a Project Manager and HVAC Designer, giving him a practical understanding of mechanical systems, controls, and equipment layouts. This hands-on design experience allows him to create highly accurate simulations that reflect real-world building performance and uncover meaningful opportunities for energy savings. By combining technical expertise with practical design knowledge, Aaron helps project teams make informed decisions that improve building efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and support the development of more sustainable, resilient facilities. |

Moderator: Marshall Andrews | DPR Construction With over 15 years of experience at DPR Construction, Marshall Andrews has displayed a talent and passion for sustainability. He has helped develop in-house estimating tools to calculate the Return on Investment (ROI) for various levels of LEED certification early in the design process, lead educational efforts preparing DPR’s employees to test and receive the LEED AP and TRUE AP certifications, and develop company programs to support zero waste, electrification, and carbon accounting. His diverse onsite project experience includes sustainable construction for colleges, offices, hospitals, biopharmaceuticals, and data centers; including an AIA COTE Top 10 award. As the Northwest Sustainability Leader, Marshall’s early integration has been key for successful execution between various design and construction disciplines. |
