Nicole Sawyer | CSWST2
Marketing Coordinator. Nicole is the Marketing Coordinator at CSWST2, guiding proposal strategy through the interview stage and translating complex public infrastructure work into clear, compelling stories. She blends narrative insight with thoughtful visual direction to elevate pursuits and strengthen team communication. Beyond CSWST2, she chairs the SMPS Sacramento Special Events Committee and is a protégé in the Mentorship Pathways program. With a background in communications and design, she is a problem solver driven by curiosity, empathy, and creativity.

     
 

David Karkhut | Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange | Construction Industry Education Foundation (SRBX | CIEF)
Marketing Manager. David Karkhut is the Marketing Manager for the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange (SRBX) and the Construction Industry Education Foundation (CIEF). He manages marketing, digital communication, and event support across both organizations, helping strengthen engagement with members, partners, and students. David brings experience in photography, design, and content development, along with a B.S. in Business Administration (Marketing) from California State University, Sacramento.

     
 

Lori Burbridge 
CPSM, Marketing Professional. A Certified Professional Services Marketer and results-oriented business executive, Lori brings an unparalleled combination of big-picture vision, institutional knowledge, and industry awareness. A former SMPS Sacramento Chapter President, she leads with drive, integrity, and compassion, fostering a cohesive vision across multi-disciplinary teams. Her unique executive leadership, marketing, human resources, accounting, and operations background guides firms to achieve smart and sustainable growth goals, streamline workflows, and enhance organizational efficiency.  

     
 

Lauren Lamar | Alston Construction  
Marketing Manager. Lauren Lamar is a Marketing Manager for Alston Construction, joining the company in 2020 after transitioning from a marketing agency background. A Sacramento native, she is a proud alumna of California State University, Sacramento. 

At Alston, Lauren oversees marketing efforts for the company’s West Coast offices, leading the development of proposals and presentations across California, Nevada, and the Amazon Business Unit teams. She manages Alston’s social media and digital marketing strategy, strengthening brand recognition and expanding market presence nationwide. She also plans and executes internal team-building and appreciation events, office open houses, and trade show booths for organizations Alston sponsors.

     
 

Liz Lewin (Moderator) | Stantec
Senior Marketing Specialist. Liz Lewin is a Senior Marketing Specialist at Stantec and supports pursuit strategy, content development, and client engagement for the Buildings practice. Her work bridges marketing and delivery teams, aligning strategy, messaging, and outreach so technical expertise connects with client needs. Liz is currently serving as President Elect for the SMPS Sacramento Chapter and brings a community minded approach to AEC marketing. She has led cross firm programming and has helped plan and facilitate chapter education sessions and panel programs, including recent initiatives that spotlight innovation and market insights for the region’s AEC community.
