Business Development Through Different Lenses

Join us for an in-person panel discussion where you'll gain valuable insights into the exciting world of business development (BD). This session is designed for both aspiring BD professionals and those curious about transitioning into this dynamic role.
The panel will feature BD professionals with experience ranging from 16 to over 30 years. They'll share their personal journeys into BD, discuss their day-to-day activities, and reveal the best practices they've honed to stay successful and relevant with clients over time.
By attending this panel, you'll gain a clear understanding of what a career in BD looks and feels like, equipping you to make informed decisions about your professional path.

About the Speakers:

 

Vince Mammano | Mark Thomas
Director of Strategic Solutions.  Vince brings over 30 years of experience at the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) with over 13 years leading a multidisciplinary team in California and the largest FHWA division office in the United States. Through his experience delivering federal-aid programs and advancing national infrastructure goals, Vince provides valuable knowledge and leadership to help our clients position for and secure grant funding, and help to navigate the federal and state systems & processes, allowing them to address transportation needs in communities throughout California.

     
 

Christopher Tejeda, CPSM | Capital Engineering 
Marketing & Business Development Manager. Christopher’s 30+ years of marketing experience is mostly outside the A/E/C world and brings a marketing-centric view to A/E/C marketing. He has worked for advertising agencies, non-profits, and high-tech companies executing a diverse portfolio of marketing and public relations campaigns. Christopher has been with Capital since 2016 and oversees the BD team efforts in both overall strategy and tactical campaigns. With Sacramento SMPS, he has served on numerous committees, been Chapter President, and is currently a mentor.

     
 

Andy Larson, CPSM | Cunningham Engineering 
Marketing & Recruitment Manager. Andy has over 16 years of experience marketing professional services for AEC consulting firms. As the Marketing Manager for Cunningham Engineering, Andy supports client outreach and teaming pursuits across multiple market segments. Andy's previous business development experience includes launching internal business development training programs and processes as well as leveraging CRM systems to track and measure the effectiveness of business development efforts company-wide.
