Anthony Adams | Sacramento Regional Transit District Director, Planning, Sacramento Regional Transit District. Anthony Adams was born in Southern Louisiana and has lived in California since the age of 15. He has two Masters Degrees from Cal Poly in Engineering and City Planning. Anthony is a civic-minded team player, having served on his city’s Parks & Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, and even spent a couple of years on the City Council. After moving to Sacramento last year, he began his position as Director of Planning for Sacramento Regional Transit. In the past year, Anthony’s team has been awarded several grants to study things such as Operational Resiliency, Mobility Hub Planning, Blue Line extension to Elk Grove, and Hydrogen Feasibility. An intellectual with real-world experience, Anthony has the vision, knowledge, and enthusiasm to innovate transportation solutions.

Ofelia Avalos, P.E. | City of Sacramento, Department of Public Works Engineering Services Division Manager. Ofelia Avalos is the Engineering Services Division Manager in the Department of Public Works which serves as the City Engineer for Capital Project Delivery of Transportation Infrastructure in the public Right of Way for the City of Sacramento. She also oversees construction inspection, encroachment permits, land surveying, and the review and inspection of public infrastructure for private development. Ofelia is a lifelong Sacramento resident, a California State University, Sacramento alumnus, and a licensed Professional Civil Engineer with more than 30 years of experience delivering major and community-based transportation projects to transform the city, region, and neighborhoods. “I value customer service and my team that makes the projects come to life and continuously improve our city.”

Melissa Wright | Sacramento County Department of Transportation Principal Civil Engineer, Engineering Design Division Sacramento County Department of Transportation. Melissa is originally from Bishop, CA. She obtained her BS in civil engineering from CSU Sacramento. She worked at Placer County after college and then Morton & Pitalo for several years before coming to Sacramento County in 2008. Her duties as Principal Civil Engineer for SacDOT’s design section are to run SacDOT’s Capital Improvement Program. Some of her hobbies include drag racing, gardening, antiquing, camping. She is newly engaged, knee-deep in wedding planning, and getting married this May.

Kathleen Hanley| Sacramento Area Council of Government (SACOG) Principal Transportation Planner. Kathleen serves as the lead for Mobility Zones and the Capital Area Regional Tolling Authority (CARTA). Prior to joining SACOG, Kathleen worked at Caltrans Headquarters and Placer County Transportation Planning Agency. Kathleen has degrees from Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, and is a proud native of the Sacramento Region.

Lisa McClintock | UNICO Engineering Vice President and Business Development Director. Lisa McClintock is the Vice President and Business Development Director of UNICO Engineering, a prime SBE/DBE construction management, land surveying, and systems integration firm based in Folsom. A graduate of Sacramento State University, Lisa obtained her BA and MA in Communications and has worked in multiple roles with non-profit associations, public outreach, communication, and transportation firms prior to joining UNICO in 2014. Now with 100 staff in five offices throughout California, UNICO is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2024. With a dedicated career in the A/E/C industry, Lisa is a veteran marketer and business developer who has spent the last 30 years researching, promoting, and pre-positioning for transportation infrastructure projects throughout the greater Sacramento area. A past president of both SMPS Sacramento and APWA Sacramento, Lisa is actively involved in multiple associations, including SMPS, APWA, WTS, CMAA, CEAC, and ACEC. She has been recognized as the SMPS Sacramento 2020 Marketer of the Year and recently cruised the catwalk for the WTS Sacramento as a model with the Class of 2023.
