Ofelia Avalos, PE | City of Sacramento Senior Engineer. The Sacramento State alumna has more than 25 years of experience delivering public infrastructure projects for the City of Sacramento. Avalos has served as the Project Manager for nearly 100 major and community-based transportation projects to transform the City, region, and neighborhoods, including most recently the construction of the C3 Project (Safe Credit Union Convention Center Renovation and Expansion Project, Safe Credit Union Performing Arts Center and the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium).

Angela DePaoli, MS, PMP| Bargas Environmental Consulting President/Founder. Angela DePaoli founded Bargas Environmental Consulting in 2012 to combine her passions for natural sciences and for development and growth in California. As its sole proprietor and leader, she brings her experience in managing complex projects for the gas and electric transmission energy sector, residential and commercial land development, as well as state and federal transportation projects to guide timely innovative solutions for Bargas clients. Angela serves as President of the Sacramento Valley Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and is a member of the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; a mentor for the Association of Women in Water, Energy and Environment; and received the Latina Excellence in Business Award in 2015 and the Women on the Way Award from NAWBO in 2016. Inspired by her grandfather, the Bargas namesake, Angela is an active supporter of educational opportunities for girls and young scientists.

Julianne Nola | UC Davis, Design & Construction Management (DCM) Director of Major Capital Projects. Julie is an architect and graduate of UC Davis with a Bachelors of Science in Design and Business Management. With over 25 years of planning, design and project management experience, she specializes in implementation of large capital projects with an emphasize on design build delivery and high sustainability goals. Her past projects at UC Davis include the Brewery, Winery and Food Pilot Facilities (LEED Platinum), Jess S. Jackson Sustainable Winery (Net Zero) and the Manetti Shrem Museum of Art (LEED Platinum).

Gladys Cornell | AIM Consulting President. Gladys is the President of AIM Consulting, Inc., a public engagement consulting firm that serves public agencies and private clients in Northern California. After working in the corporate world for nearly 20 years, Gladys started AIM from her home office 15 years ago with her two cats, Belle and Chloe as her two sole employees. AIM now employs 10 wonderful communications and outreach professionals from their world headquarters in midtown Sacramento. As a facilitation and community engagement specialist, Gladys believes in the positive power of community involvement and works hard to ensure community members have a meaningful role in community development and planning. Gladys has served successfully as the public outreach project manager for multiple complex transit, transportation and land use projects that require an understanding of technical, fiscal and community issues and the ability to create a space for constructive dialogue. She is a graduate from Sacramento State with a BA in Journalism. She served as Chair for the Sacramento District Council of the Urban Land Institute and is a member of the International Association of Public Participation.
